Fabric Shoppers Unite – Project 95

What is Project 95? It’s a network of independent quilt and fabric shops who have joined forces to promote shopping independents. Only 5 percent of fabric shops are independents! Isn’t it nice to have local fabric shops? They need support from us!

To find a local fabric or quilt shop, click here. Just enter your zip code and you are on your way to finding a great shop near you.

My local shop has great customer service, and I always leave with new ideas for my next project.

Do you have a local fabric shop in your area?

Hi there! I coordinate the Project 95 program for The Fabric Shop Network and would like to clarify just a detail. It’s 5% of fabric shoppers who shop independents (not 5% of shops)–there are in fact many, many independent shops out there, but 95% of shoppers aren’t shopping at them.

Thanks so much for helping spread the word about Project 95 to the Etsy community.

I have the Sewing Studio not even 10 minutes from my house. They always have great fabric selections. And they are willing to order what ever you need if they don’t have it in their shop.

My favorite Indy fabric shop is The Quilt Cottage in Mamaroneck, NY. Great selection and a friendly, knowledgable staff.
I purchase all of my fabric from this shop or one fave etsy seller. The big box stores may have goos sales but, their selection leaves a lot to be desired.
