Crochet Bow Pattern {Easy Peasy Tutorial}

Crochet Bow Pattern {Easy Peasy Tutorial} - EverythingEtsy.com

This crochet bow pattern will quickly become one of your favorite little projects!  I’ve made about a hundred of them so far…for real!

Dress up a package, add it to a hair clip or attach one to a hat.  I added a giant giant safety pin to the back and attached a pink bow to my tote bag!  Seriously, you can do a million different things with these.

They instantly add a touch of handmade crochet goodness to anything!

I recently taught a crochet class at the awesome and amazing Snap Conference in Utah.  It was so much fun and this was one of the projects we did.  On a side note…if you have never been to a Snap Conference you need to go next year!

I used Vanna’s Choice Lion Brand Yarn for these.  I love their color selection!

Hook Size – J

Chain 27

Row 1- Double Crochet in the fourth chain from the hook.  Continue to double crochet to the end {24 stitches}

Row 2- *Chain 3 for your turning stitch, start this row in the second chain from the hook – 24 double crochet total

How to crochet a bow - tutorial and pattern on EverythingEtsy.com

Row 3 & 4 – Repeat from the * to complete 4 rows.

Cut the yarn and weave in the end.

Trim away any extra yarn.

Fold it in half and sew the two ends together.  I start by holding the ends together and tying a knot to hold them together.  I sew them together with a yarn needle, and tie another knot at the other end.

Pinch together the middle to create a bow and wrap yarn around the center until you like the way it looks.

I take the needle and run the end of the yarn through the center a bit and tie a knot.

Trim and you’re finished!

Add a crochet bow to a tote bag or wear it in your hair!  Make a bunch and share!
