Time to Start Advertising Your Etsy Business!

Time to Start Advertising!

Are you excited about the current, right-now, success of your online business? If so, I’d be willing to bet your business is advertising. If not, chances are you aren’t advertising at all.

Advertising is like Red Bull for your business. It provides the boost of energy and strength you need to keep going. Just like a person can’t live on Red Bull alone, advertising isn’t all you need to thrive. You also need good products, great marketing, and solid customer service just to name a few things. But advertising is one of the keys.

We all know this. Yet we don’t advertise for a couple of common reasons.

The first is money. We’re reluctant to spend money, especially if we’re not making money yet. When I don’t want to pay for advertising I’m always reminded of this quote:

“Nothing but the mint can make money without advertising.” – T.B. Macaulay

The other thing that really stumps online business owners is that they don’t know where to advertise to be noticed by the right people. Even if you are willing to pay, finding the right place to advertise isn’t easy. Not to be all quotey, it makes me think of another one:

“Half the money I spend on advertising is wasted. The trouble is, I don’t know which half.” – John Wanamaker

The truth is that really finding the best advertising solution for your online business is a trial and error process. You’ve got to try different places, different times, different audiences, and even different types of ads. There’s search, video, social media platforms, print, etc. etc.

One of the best and most cost effective means of advertising is blog advertising. Such as right here on EverythingEtsy.com

Which brings me to my big announcement!

The EverythingEtsy.com Spring Ad Sale is coming soon! Don’t Miss Out!

Every three months we open up ad sales here on Everything Etsy and offer online businesses an opportunity to get their message seen here on the site. It’s a wonderful way to get your business advertising moving in the right direction and here’s a few reasons why!

  1. It’s our chance to help each other!  –  We have been blogging here for almost half a decade now and have grown to really love the magnificently creative community of makers, Etsy sellers, and generally brilliant people who follow this site. We offer our advertising at much lower rates than most sites that get the kind of consistent high quality (aka real people) traffic that EverythingEtsy.com enjoys. This is our way of giving back. And the money we do charge keeps this blog going and is a huge help to us. So it’s a good old fashioned “Give and Take” situation.
  2. Readers look here for discoveries and resources!  –  We’ve been offering advertising to Etsy Shops and related businesses every three months for at least four years now! This has become part of the fabric of EverythingEtsy.com and readers like you come to this site knowing that they can find new and exciting Etsy shops and creative businesses (and businesses that cater to the maker community overall). This consistency and long term presence pays off for our advertisers.
  3. The numbers speak volumes!  –  @EverythingEtsy has steadily grown on social platforms to be able to reach a huge audience!  108K on Facebook, 137K on Pinterest, 45K on Twitter, 14K on Instagram, 17K on Bloglovin… etc. etc. etc. All that social media presence and years of solid creation of content has built this website to thousands of unique pages (your ad appears on almost all of them!) that visitors view on average 1 Million times every month! Most blogs this size don’t sell direct advertising and those that do charge much more.
  4. We actually “get” you! – The vast majority of our advertisers are very much like we are. They are entrepreneurial, dreamers, makers, creative adventurous people who are following a dream of building all that into something tangible. A business that provides income for extra money or to pay the mortgage payment or to provide jobs or to put a smile on the face of customers. That’s who we are too and that’s who reads this website.
  5. Return on Investment!  –  Advertising is an investment and it’s one you go into hoping to make money on. We know that and keep our advertising cost low and work hard to keep your exposure high so your potential return is maximized as much as possible. We want to see you succeed and keep advertising with us. In fact, many of our advertisers have been here consistently for years!

Don’t Miss Out! The ad sale only lasts a couple of days and space is limited. Save Money by grabbing one of these specially priced ad spaces!

Sign up to the Advertising Announcements email list here to be sure you’re notified next week when the sale starts.

We won’t share your email address with anyone else and you can unsubscribe at any time.

If you’d like to start getting your ad graphic ready, here is a tutorial post that will help.

Let’s work together!

~Kim

Thank you so much! Great article!….Had to share this on my personal Facebook page along with this comment…
“I wish more people knew about Etsy!
Etsy has blessed my life and my business has grown tremendously over the past 8 years, but I’m also always so astonished when I hear people say they’ve never heard of Etsy, and I STILL hear that far too often! “
