Crochet hearts are one of the cutest crochet projects you’ll ever make…and they take just a couple minutes! You know you want to make some right now. Let’s do it!
This crochet heart video will walk you through the steps of my free crochet heart pattern that I shared last year.
There’s no way you won’t be able to make one after watching this!
Once you start, you’ll need to make a bunch!
Create a sweet little heart garland for Valentine’s Day….
What a quick way to add a little touch of the holiday to your home.
Pick out your favorite color yarn, grab your crochet hook {I used a size G in the video, but you can make them in any size} and get comfy!
Watch the video and work along with me!
Don’t need a video? Here’s the crochet heart pattern written out for you.
Have fun and please let me know what you make with them! They would be cute on cards or even just add a bunch to a bowl on your table. I love them, and I hope you’ll make a bunch to share…spread the love!

It just spammed out my comment so I will try again. I wanted to tell you Kim I’ve been reading up on your blog but haven’t had chance to tell you how much I liked this tutorial for the red crochet hearts. I whipped up a few and (safety) pinned them onto the front of some brown kraft paper and send them to the kids next door with a few bucks for valentines day. They really liked them.
Thanks again!

hi 🙂 thank you for great tutorial, very easy to follow. For some reason I keep ending up with a big hole in centre of my crochet heart, is there something I’m doing wrong? Hope you can help 🙂
Ally says
I’m having this problem as well :3
Ally says
Okay, I think I figured it out! I was crocheting under one loop of the chain instead of two. I tried it again under both loops and although it was more difficult for me, the hole was much smaller 🙂

Kim, this is the best-looking and simplest crochet pattern for a heart that I have ever seen. If you’d like a hand-drawn diagram for visual crocheters like myself, I’ll be happy to send a pdf to you. Best,

Kim, adoro estos corazones! gracias por tu grandiosa explicación!

I just don’t get how you avoid having a big hole in the center. Mine isn’t staying tight like your example. Cute pattern when I can do it and pull on the strings at the end to tighten the heart, but I don’t always know how I start one to make that work! What am I doing wrong?!

Hi, Love the video and it is super easy to follow. But what am I doing wrong the first chain I’m crocheting into or as it becomes center of heart is a fairly big hole. Help!
Maggie says
Brilliant! Thank you for such a great video. I’m never very good at following instructions so it’s great to see how to do it.
Linda says
Thank you soooo much! I could easily see what you were doing and could follow quite easily! For this beginner your video was perfect!
