Get Crafty With Your Laundry Room

By Kim Layton 9 Comments

Sometimes I feature large, beautiful craft studios that you would need an extra room in your house to even get started. Well, this one can be done in most homes…a crafty laundry room!

There’s plenty of work space with lots of storage area. Cabinets and drawers are everywhere. Think of great stuff you could stash away in them!

The chalkboard is great for inspiration, notes to yourself, or even a list of what you need to buy. Don’t you ALWAYS have a list? I know I do!

The ribbon holder is pretty and functional…gotta love that!

Many homes have enough room for a craft area like this.  Take a look around your home and create a little spot for all your creating!

This would be great if my laundry wasn’t in my garage. I’m not sure why anyone would build a house and have their laundry in the hot garage. I’m thinking of installing a ceiling fan where my washer/dryer are at.

I love that. We will be moving soon, so I need to start thinking about my new studio.

sigh! I pray everday that we win the lottery so I can turn my sad and uninspiring unfinished basement workspace into a giant dream studio. I am lucky to live in a lovely large home with a beautiful and bright guest room, however, since I am often heard hammering until the wee hours of the morning, I am deligated to the basement. Yuck!
(I guess I would need to include some soundproofing too!)

I love the idea of combining the craft area with the laundry room, not everyone has enough room to have two separate areas in their homes.

I’m lucky enough to have an entire office for my studio, but this one is just beautiful! And think of the multi-tasking you could do!

My washer and dryer are in a closet, but after reading your post, I do have room to make it more inviting and perhaps less of a chore!! Thanks for sharing!!

Oh my gosh!! I’d absolutely love a laundry room like this – it’s so spacious and cute.

We’re making do with a closet now for our laundry. The worst part is that it’s right off of our den so any spill over ends up smack dab in the middle of our “tv” room. Oh well, what’s a girl to do?!?

I’ve always wanted to use that chalkboard paint too. It just looks so much fun and I bet my little girl would love it!

Thanks for sharing this post… inspiration!
