Lavender Water Tutorial {DIY Linen Spray}

Lavender Water Tutorial - Easy and smells amazing! l EverythingEtsy.com

Lavender water is one of the easiest little DIY projects you can make!

I love a touch of lavender around the home, don’t you?  I’ve always made lavender sachets {you can find my tutorial here}, but this was my first time making lavender water.  I can’t believe I haven’t tried this yet because it takes just a few minutes and the final product is AMAZING!

Add a couple drops to your pillow or spray a bit on clothing before you iron.  This is the perfect scent for linens because lavender is known to help you sleep.  There are a million ways to use lavender water!

Lavender Water Tutorial on EverythingEtsy.com - super easy to make! Great DIY gift idea!

These would make fabulous gifts for holidays and birthdays.  Don’t you love the sweet little bottles I used??

Here’s how you can make some for yourself…

Lavender Water Tutorial - Bring out the Vodka - EverythingEtsy.com

Yes, you will need Vodka.  I felt a little strange going into a liquor store buying small bottles of Vodka, but ya gotta do what you gotta do…ha! I used 1/4 cup of Vodka.

Essential Oil - doTERRA - Kim Layton

I used 1 teaspoon of Lavender Essential Oil.  I sell this oil now and I’m in love with the Lavender…I even add a bit to my wrists and rub them together.  The benefits of essential oils are crazy awesome.  You can read more about them and place an order in my doTERRA shop.

Lavender Water Tutorial - Mix it up - EverythingEtsy.com

You’ll need 3 1/2 cups of distilled water.

Mix it all together in a glass container.  I just used my large measuring cup because it’s easy to pour.

Lavender Water Tutorial - awesome bottles to use! EverythingEtsy.com

These are my awesome glass bottles…I love how simple they are, and I already have plans to use more for other projects.  You can decorate them however you want.  Very cool!

Lavender Water Tutorial - Funnel...I love these! EverythingEtsy.com

I just bought these funnel spoons…they worked perfect for this.  Just place one on the top of your bottle and pour very slowly.  You won’t waste a drop!

Lavender Water Tutorial - Tag supplies - EverythingEtsy.com

Of course, you need pretty things to decorate your bottles.  I could never have enough washi tape or tags! {or any other craft supply…ha!}

Lavender Water - Tape it up - EverythingEtsy

Add your favorite washi tape to the top…this one is fabric and it has a great look.  I bought it at Michaels.

Lavender Water Tutorial on EverythingEtsy.com Easy DIY gift idea!

Add a bit of twine and such and you’re all set.  I told you it was simple.  I spent more time decorating the bottles than I did making the Lavender Water.

Lavender Water Tutorial - Recipe and Instructions on EverythingEtsy.com

You’ll want to store your lavender water in a glass bottle.  It’s the perfect gift for your friends that have everything!

Have fun with it!
