I hope everyone is enjoying a bit of fall weather.  We’re in Florida and just starting to feel a cool breeze which makes me want to dig out a sweater or two from the back of my closet. {I might only own two!}  It’s the time of year to start thinking about cozy little projects for yourself and handmade gifts for the holidays.  No worries…these simple tutorials create some cute handmade creations in no time at all.

  • Can you crochet?  Do you want to learn to crochet?  This knotted headband is the perfect simple project to whip up while sipping coffee at a sidewalk café.  Gather up your friends and learn how to crochet together.  This is a great project for beginners! {All About Ami pattern}
  • Alisa Burke {one of the coolest crafty people ever} created these fabulous sketchbook pumpkins…you are gonna want to try one today!
  • Create a burlap banner to say whatever makes you happy.  This is a quick home project that will get you tons of compliments from your guests.  It’s simply pretty! {Jennifer Leigh}
  • These newspaper leaves are a beautiful addition to a mantle or table arrangement…love them!  {Life with Little Ones}  They would look amazing topping off a gift or wine bottle.
  • Trying to organize your paper scraps?  You’ll find this post to be super helpful!
  • Pom Pom Pencils are a fun little craft to make with kids.  They’ll love showing them off at school…they’re so cute!
  • Love to sew?  Get your sewing machine threaded and check out this list of 101 Sewing Tutorials!  I’m sure you can find something that’s just what you’re looking for in a weekend project.

Follow me on Pinterest for lots and lots {and lots} of handmade projects!

I’m the kind of girl that loves, loves, loves projects that can be completed in a few hours.  My attention span is a little short and simple crafts make me happy!  What about you?  Do you enjoy large projects, like quilts, or quick creations?

Have a wonderful weekend full of handmade creations and family fun!

~Kim

    Crystal – You can find fabulous videos online to teach you how to crochet. It’s pretty easy to make a few basic stitches and create something like these headbands. You should try it on a day when you have a little time. I’m sure you’ll be crocheting in 15 minutes!
