I’d love to share a brand new book from Ellen Luckett Baker with you today…1,2,3 Sew!

I dream of being able to whip up a dress on a whim, but in reality I need simple projects.  This book is loaded with 33 easy-to-follow patterns that will empower you to create beautiful bags, accessories and more so fast it will make your head spin.  Ellen keeps it super simple with big reward…that’s my kind of book.

You can find Ellen and her cool ideas daily at her blog, The Long Thread.  Go ahead and check it out…I’ll wait.  See, it’s a great blog!

Here’s another project I can’t wait to try…

cloth napkins

Aren’t these beautiful cloth napkins? Oh, I need to make them in so many colors!  It looks like a great way to use up some of your fabric scraps at the same time.

If you’re a seasoned sewing girl, you’ll still find lots of great ideas for gifts and creative sewing techniques inside this lovely book.  New to sewing?  You’ll love how Ellen explains how to choose fabric and gives tips along the way.  If you see this book in the bookstore you need to grab it and buy it…for real!

I would love to win this because I need it. I can sew a straight line and make a pillow case, but beyond that I’m clueless. I have a cutie pie I could dress, but I don’t know how.

My teenage daughter is now interested in sewing so to have her own book instead of borrowing Mum’s would encourage her to try out new things that wouldn’t be “like Mum’s”. She likes to be individual, but doesn’t every teenager?!

This looks like a great book. Too many sewing books have the same old thing over and over. This looks like a great resource for new inspiration.
