The Techy Side of Selling Online {Reader Poll}

By Tim Layton 7 Comments

We’ve always found our How-To Techy Tutorials to be very popular and we’d like to do more. So rather than just take a shot in the dark as to what you would find helpful, we thought we’d take a little survey.

You can select up to two options in the poll, and if we missed the techy thing you most struggle with, let us know in the comments!

    Yes, yes, ads and graphics PUL- EASE! The kind that gives step-by-step copy-and-paste HTML, maybe? And what the heck is CSS?

    Thanks for everything you do, Kim et. al.

    I would love an iPhone app (or smart phone) it would be great to have a way to track and update sales, convos, manage inventory etc.

    I would also suggest bolder brighter notification of sales or even a page view talley upon signing in. Thanks!!

    Hm, photoshop? I’m not even using photoshop, so I guess I’m way behind in that area!

    I think having step-by-step directions on how to start a full website (picking out a domain, selling items, web tracking, etc) would be very helpful 😀

    I think there are already plenty of Photoshop and graphic tutorials out there, and quite a lot of Etsy artists are fairly proficient in that area, or probably know someone who is.

    I’d love to see some tips on how to budget for and decide when and where to advertise, how to track traffic coming into your site or shop, and how to determine which advertising ventures are paying off.

    I am really interested in learning how to make a beautiful blog. I love visiting other crafty, quilty blogs and mine is so BLAH in comparison! I don’t get much traffic on my blog despite promoting it and I feel that having the right look would bring people in and make them want to browse around more.
