Etsy Shop SEO Tip of The Week – Week 2 {Etsy SEO Basics – Free PDF Download from Etsy}

If you want to know exactly what you need to do to give your shop the best possible chance of success in search results (other than just having awesome stuff), you might want to check out this PDF download directly from Etsy.

Click the button above to download the PDF guide directly from Etsy. In this comprehensive guide, you’ll find all of the most important steps to positioning your shop for good SEO results.

But there are two important things to remember and never forget!

1. It’s all About Your Stuff

All the great SEO in the world won’t matter if the things you sell in your shop aren’t remarkable. You have to start with a great product, then get great photography, then worry about some of the SEO things like Item Descriptions and Listing Titles.

2. It’s all About Repetition

The O in SEO. Most people think it stands for “optimization”. I think it stands for Over, and over, and over, and over again. Because it’s repetition for, like, ever, that makes it work.

But, stick with it and the O will take on a new meaning. You’ll be saying “Oh, it worked!” and “Oh! Another sale!”

Just don’t expect it to be done in two weeks. This stuff takes awhile.

Would You Rather Watch a Video?

While the guide above is more in-depth, it is a little bit techy and a little thick. If you prefer a video, we have one that covers much of the same content and more than 1700 people have watched it already so it must not be over-the-top techy. Here is the video:

    Awesome – I was just going to go looking for this for my shop. Love how helpful you are. I might get this question answered, but how much is SEO for Etsy like optimizing blog content?

    Thanks for sharing. I have struggled through some of this information on your video and figured things out on my own by reading articles on Etsy and searches in Google. I still have so much to learn, but this is a tremendous help especially about the Google adwords. I link from my blog, but still have a great deal to learn about linking as well and using Google Analytics. What a great couple you are! Sharing is always a sign of the proper success in people:)
