He was outside “helping” his dad build the shed and was wearing bib overalls and had a red toboggan hat on. He was standing in the doorway holding a broom and the natural light was PERFECT. His blue eyes were simply brilliant – what I aim for recreating in Photoshop, it was straight of the camera!

My favorite photo is a pic of my middle child at 16 months old at Chrismtas, sitting with her father. They are both looking off to the right, not straight at the camera, and the picture captures his love for her and her contentment in his arms perfectly.

I need something that makes sense to give me the push toward Manual shooting. So many things to keep in mind, and I’m worried I’ll mess up and miss the shot altogether!

Anyway….photography is something I’ve been wanting to learn more about for some time. I have a decent camera, but I don’t know very much about using it. Would love to get out of Auto mode and get creative with it!
