Are you a basket person?
I’m a basket case person! I love them in all shapes, colors, and sizes. I use them for everything, and just when I think I have all the baskets I need…I find one on sale!
I thought I would share with you some storage inspiration using baskets.

Are you a basket person?

I’m a basket <del>case</del> person! I love them in all shapes, colors, and sizes. I use them for everything, and just when I think I have all the baskets I need…I find one on sale!

I thought I would share with you some storage inspiration using baskets.

The photo above is a basket loaded up with beautiful fabric. I do this, but I can’t say my fabric storage baskets are as neat.

I do think using baskets helps with the small scraps of fabric that I use. I can find them easier and move the whole stash to whatever room I’m working in. I love how baskets are portable!! I even take a basket or two with me on road trips.

They look great on lined up on a shelf…that’s a good reason to use them right there. I love the little tags!

I love the idea of making your own hanging baskets! You can easily do this with a little twine and some time…ha!

This one is shown in a bathroom, but it would work great in a craft room. I can use all the space saving ideas I can get!

You can add just a couple to your work area if you don’t want to go all crazy like me. I need to add a little ribbon to the handles of mine like they did here. Isn’t that a nice touch? Simple and pretty…love it!

If you love fabric baskets and you’re good with the sewing machine, check out Pink Penguin’s basket tutorial! It’s a great way to use up all those fabric scraps and keep things tidy at the same time!

Here’s another idea for my talented friends. This is a basket made from scrap yarn and craft supplies! Doesn’t it look great? You can download a pattern at Craft Leftovers…love that blog!

Whether you like vintage wire baskets, recycled paper, fabric, or wicker baskets, they’re a beautiful way to store not-so-beautiful things! You can’t have too many, right? I might be pushing the limit though…he he!

If you want to see more craft organization ideas check out our “Get Organized” section!

We spent all day going through boxes and boxes that we’ve had stored away for so long. There’s always something I save that ends up getting a little messed up or cracked while being moved around in those big plastic bins. It made me think about how I tend to save some things that I really like all wrapped up and out of sight. Does anyone else do this?

If you have something you love, you should use it! I plan on using some of the vintage items I rediscoved to hold some of my craft supplies.

I didn’t find anything like the cabinet in the photo above, but I know someone that can make new things look old…Remodeling Guy, my sweet husband. I love that look!

Old toolboxes make a great storage container. I’ve even seen them mounted on the wall before. They can be used for storing just about anything and they have character, don’t you think?

Plates and dishes can be used to display pretty little baubles as inspiration.

I found a beautiful glass bowl and some vintage jars today while I was sorting through our treasures {a.k.a. junk}. They didn’t make it to the garage sale pile!

Take a look around you house and see what you find. Talk about saving money…this is the way to go! Have you rediscovered anything fun lately? Did you look in the closet?

Check back tomorrow for a SUPER GIVEAWAY! You won’t want to miss it!

Do you have limited space and scrapbooking supplies taking over your house?

Maybe you could turn a spare closet into something like this one. Having everything so neat and organized will make scrapbooking even more fun. Here are a few of my favorite features, and they’re all so easy to do on your own.

Using pegboard can really make the most out a space that’s usually forgotten. Adjustable shelves make things so much easier when you want to change it around a bit later on.

Put every inch of the closet to good use with cork trivets from a kitchen and bath store. They make a fun llittle bulletin board that’s perfect for inspiring ideas. Trivets are thick and can easily be mounted with foam tape.

Hanging folders are a great use of space. Organizing paper by season or color can make it easy to see what you have before you run off to the store to buy more. Hey, this is a money saving idea here! Now you can explain to your husband how this closet will save money and he should help you do it this weekend!

Have fun!
